WHEDA HOME Plus Loans

The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) HOME Plus program provides financing of up to $10,000. This may be used towards the down payment, closing costs, and future home repairs.

Some features and benefits available:
  • The ability to use a portion of the $10,000 loan towards your down payment (after closing, your liquid assets cannot exceed $4,500)
  • Save money with interest-only payments for the first 2 years of the loan
  • Utilizing the loan to handle unexpected repairs or improvements
To qualify for a WHEDA HOME Plus Loan, you must meet certain criteria:
  • You must have a minimum credit score of 650
  • Total monthly debt cannot exceed 38% of gross monthly income
